Overview

Our Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD 365) Integration can automate Trust Center access flows using MSD 365's Account and Contact information as a source of truth.

Utilizing SafeBase's CRM Rules Engine, access requests to the Trust Center can be:

  • Auto-Approved - Requests require no manual approval

  • Auto-Decline - Requests will be prevented from requesting access

  • NDA-Bypassed - Once approved, requesters will not be required to sign an NDA

Note: During this Beta phase, please reach out to your CSM or contact support@safebase.io to enable the MSD 365 integration.

Your CSM will schedule a meeting with our Solution Engineering team to enable, configure, and test the integration.

Connection & Prerequisites

The MSD 365 integration utilizes an OAuth connection provided by a third-party service as a middleware. The middleware service facilitates the automation workflow and the connection/auth requests.

All CRM information is stored within MSD 365. SafeBase reads a small subset of values during the access request process and only stores:

For Account:

  • Name

  • WebsiteURL

  • ModifiedOn

For Contact:

  • ContactId

  • FirstName

  • LastName

  • EmailAddress1

  • _accountid_value

Additional Prerequisites:

  • A user with the role of admin in the Trust Center

  • Said admin must have access to an integration user with the appropriate MSD 365 permissions

    • The integration user's permissions can be read-only but will need read access to any field values used as a source of truth.

  • An idea of which API fields in the MS Dynamics Account / Contact you would like to use as the source of truth.

Setup

Click the Settings section of the Trust Center and navigate to the Integrations section, locating the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Beta) option.

Click Connect then click New Authentication

Enter a URL for your Microsoft Dynamics 365 and click Create

When prompted for Credentials, enter your account information and click Next

If the credentials are correct, you will be asked to review the app's permissions.

Once reviewed, click next, then finish. The setup is now complete.
