Overview
SafeBase support working with questionnaires in Adobe PDF(.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc/docx) formats. Users can upload PDF and Word questionnaires's for instant parsing, edit 's if there are improperly parsed questions, and download the questionnaire in its original format.

Important Notes:
Editing is only supported for PDF and Word file questionnaires (not CSV or platform-native formats).
TXT format is also accepted, but export is only available in PDF or Word.
Users should review parsed questionnaire's to ensure accuracy.
Long answers will be added to the end of the document when downloading responses in original format.
Upload a Questionnaire
Navigate to the Questionnaires section and upload a questionnaire.
Click the + Add Questionnaire button and upload a PDF, Word, or TXT questionnaire
Click Add or Add & Start AI assistance
Question Options
Once the question has been processed, click into the questionnaire, then click an individual question to highlight
New options will become available for each individual question clicked on.

Additionally, the three dot menu to the right of each question contains a submenu. This sub-menu contains both the Edit Question option and an Insert row below/above option (useful if the parsing misses a question)
Edit a Question
Clicking Edit Question will open a sub menu that will allow a user to edit the Question Text, change the Answer Type, Delete, and Save and retry the auto-fill process.
This is particularly useful if the question is parsed incorrectly.
Question Text - The question text can be changed if needed.
Answer Type - The answer type can be changed, the options are Free Text, Single-Select, and Multi-Select (The latter will require adding example answers e.g. "Yes', "No", etc.)
Show Comment Field - This gives the option to keep or remove the comment field per question.
Delete - If the parsing picked up a non-question, etc. It can be deleted here.
Save & Retry - Once editing is done, clicking Save and Retry will automatically re-run the question to produce a new answer.

Download / Export a Completed Questionnaire in the Original Format (BETA)
Once completed, the questionnaire can be exported with responses in its original format. This feature is available to a limited number of beta customers.
Click the download icon while in the questionnaire or on the right side of the Questionnaires table.
Select With responses (.pdf/.doc(x)).
Note: There will be an Experimental badge next to this option and a disclaimer will appear regarding the export format.
Click Download.
SafeBase will automatically detect the format of the uploaded questionnaire (.pdf or .doc(x) and answers will be inserted back into the original file.
Expect the export to take up to 15 minutes. You will receive a notification link via email when the export is ready.
Review the Questionnaire
Open the downloaded file and review the format. Make sure to check the answer and comment sections for completeness.
If answers are shortened, look for reference links at the end of each line.
Use these links to navigate to the complete answers at the end of the questionnaire.
You can use the reference links to navigate back to the question within the questionnaire from the appended answers at bottom of the document.
