Multi-product questionnaires in AIQA (Early Access)

Some security questionnaires need to be answered for more than one product at a time — for example, when a customer sends a single questionnaire that covers several of your products, product variants, or region-specific deployments.

Multi-product support lets you answer that kind of questionnaire in a single AIQA run. Instead of duplicating the questionnaire for each product and manually merging the results, you select all the relevant products up front, and AIQA produces a per-product answer for every question inside one combined response.

This article walks through how to set up and run a multi-product questionnaire, how to read the combined answers, and how to save them for reuse.

Prerequisite

  • AIQA and Generative AI must be enabled for your organization.

  • You can select up to 10 products for one questionnaire run.

  • Select the products before you start answering the questionnaire.

  • Make sure the content used to answer questions is assigned to the correct product. Content without a product assignment can be used as shared content for all selected products.

Step 1: Select your products

When you add the questionnaire, use the Product scope dropdown to choose every product it should cover (up to 10). Your selection is saved with the questionnaire and shown in its side panel.

  1. Add a questionnaire

  2. Under Product Scope, pick all the products the customer's questionnaire applies to. AIQA will answer each question for each of these products. If you have only one product, then this field will not exist.

Step 2: Run AIQA

Once your products and collections are set, run answering as usual. AIQA evaluates each question on its own for each selected product, drawing on that product's relevant content, and assembles a single combined response per question.

  1. Open the questionnaire from the Questionnaires page and choose the action to start AIQA.

  2. In the AIQA run setup, optionally choose a content collection. Leave it blank if you want AIQA to search all available content.

  3. Continue to start the AIQA run.

Choose a content collection (optional)

Choose a content collection to use as the evidence source for the run. A run uses one collection, and if you leave it empty AIQA searches all of your content.

Collections are tag-based filters across your content — Documents, Knowledge Base entries, Trust Center material, and so on.

A few things to know about how collections work in a multi-product run:

  • Collections aren't tied to a specific product. A single collection can supply evidence to several products in the same run.

  • AIQA routes evidence using the product field on each piece of content. When it answers a question for a given product, it pulls the matching content for that product from the collection you selected.

  • Global Content is treated as shared evidence. It's eligible to support the answer for any selected product, which is useful for material that applies across your whole product line (for example, a shared SDLC policy).

Pick a collection broad enough to cover every selected product, or leave it empty so AIQA searches all of your content.

Step 3: Review the answers

After AIQA finishes, review the questionnaire table.

Each question appears on its own row, with the answer in the Answer/Comment column. For a multi-product questionnaire, AIQA keeps the answers for all selected products in that same field instead of creating a separate row for each product.

When answers differ, each answer is labeled with the product it applies to. For example:

Product A: text of answer for Product A
---
Product B: text of answer for Product B

How structured answers are combined

For structured answer types (Yes / No / Partial / N/A), the cell still shows a single structured value, reconciled across all your products:

  • If every product agrees on the same option, AIQA will select that option.

  • If the products disagree, AIQA reconciles their picks into a single value for the cell, with a bias towards positive answers (“Yes”) if at least one product has that answer.

When the products disagree, each product's own pick is written into the comment cell — so you can see exactly which products answered “Yes”, which didn't, and why.

Review sources

Sources for every product are pooled into a single deduplicated list on the row. Each source is marked with the product the content itself is assigned to (or Global for shared material), so you can see what evidence was available for each product at the time that AIQA was run.

Save answers to the Knowledge Base

Saving answers to the Knowledge Base is not currently supported for multi-product questionnaires. When you mark a multi-product questionnaire complete, the Knowledge Base section is hidden from the completion dialog and no answers are saved for reuse.

Export the completed questionnaire

Completed multi-product questionnaires export back in their original file format. The ---separated, per-product breakdown is preserved inside the single answer cell for each question. No extra columns, rows, or sheets are added — the export matches the structure of the file you started with, which keeps it compatible with portals and requesters that only accept a single questionnaire in return.

Best Practices

  • Select every relevant product when you create the questionnaire, since the product scope cannot be changed afterward. Keep in mind the more products selected, the longer it will take for AIQA to answer the question, and the longer the answer/comment fields will be.

  • Assign content to Global for policies and practices that apply across your whole product line so AIQA can reuse it for any product.

  • Review the per-product breakdown in the answer cell even when the structured value is a single Yes/No — the comment field is where product-specific exceptions are explained.
