Overview

Part of sharing your Trust Center with the world is creating a Customized Public URL.

However, there may be certain instances in which you would like to share your Trust Center before it becomes completely public.

These cases are frequently encountered with teams that would like to share a "public-facing" preview that shows the overall look, feel, and posture of their Trust Center with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, sales, and leadership teams, before the official launch/go-live date.

Preview Mode

Preview Mode is available to all organization members except Knowledge Base Viewers & Editors. It is NOT available to someone who doesn't have an organizational account within the Trust Center.

This mode is useful for sharing with an audience during meetings, or for taking screenshots, etc.

Using Preview Mode

Navigate to the Trust Center Editor and click Preview Mode in the top right corner

Note: This preview is EXACTLY what customers will see when they visit your public-facing Trust Center. It is useful for sharing with an audience during meetings, taking screenshots, etc.

Preview As

Once in the preview mode view, organization members can impersonate users and preview the Trust Center by account, permission profile, or as a public user.

We built this feature to give org members a better understanding of their setup in a more realistic setting. This Eliminates the friction of “I quickly want to check something, but I don’t want to log in every time/create dummy accounts every time, etc”

Note: This is especially useful for testing/verifying Permission Profiles and Hidden Items

Preview Mode Settings

Unrestricted Preview Mode is an option for organizations to share their public-facing preview with users who do not have internal access to the Trust Center.

Note: This is useful for pre-launch collaboration with internal teams or other stakeholders that do not require access to the internal end of the Trust Center.

  1. In the top right area of the Trust Center Editor, access the Trust Center Settings

  2. Click the Functionality tab

  3. In the lower right corner, there is a toggle in the Preview Mode options to Restrict Access.

If this turned off, the Preview Mode URL can now be shared without requiring a Trust Center account.

  4. To obtain the URL, follow the steps above to navigate to Preview Mode, the URL in your browser's address bar is the sharable link.

Note: This link is useful to share, is not searchable by outside entities like a custom url of https://trust.company.com, and can be turned off once your Trust Center and custom URL is live.
