Granular RBAC Now Generally Available
Granular RBAC is officially live and available for all organizations. This release brings greater flexibility, clearer permissions management, and more intuitive role structures. To learn more, refer to Empowering Cross-Functional Trust Management with Enhanced RBAC.
What’s New
Updated UI in Settings.
Organization Members renamed to User Management.
New Role Detail pages to view permissions for each role.
Multi-role assignments via group roles (All plans).
A new default role set is available to all customers.
Limitations / Callouts:
Enterprise Only: Custom roles are available but must be configured by the SafeBase Solutions Architecture team (not yet self-service). You can reach out via the support chat in the lower right corner when logged into SafeBase to request support in configuring these roles.
Existing customers will see:
The new default roles
Any custom roles
Old default roles labeled as (Legacy)
Note: SafeBase will gradually clean up unused legacy roles over time.
New customers will receive only the new default role set going forward.
Legacy file-download permission controls remain for compatibility.
Download Subprocessors as CSV
Customers can now download their full list of subprocessors as a CSV directly from the public Trust Center and the Trust Center Editor.
Self-Service Updates for Email Notification Settings
Customers can now update their Email Notification Settings, including email branding and reply-to email fields, directly in the SafeBase app, even after initial setup. Previously, these settings could only be configured once, and any future changes required contacting Support. Now, customers have full control to both set up and modify these settings on their own.
Single-Item Editing in the Trust Center
Editing Trust Center content is now faster and easier. Instead of editing entire sets of items, you can now individually edit each item directly.
Note: This feature is rolling out gradually to all customers.
Set Up Clickwrap NDAs with Less Effort
We’ve redesigned the Clickwrap NDA experience in SafeBase to eliminate setup friction and make NDA management more intuitive.
Clickwrap Setup Options:
Autogenerated Clickwrap: SafeBase creates the NDA for you, and it automatically updates if your organization name or Trust Center title changes
Custom Clickwrap: Paste in your own NDA text. This won’t update automatically if org details change
Improved Setup Experience:
Clickwrap settings are now behind a gear icon in the NDA section.
No need to download or upload templates during setup
Preview your NDA in markdown format directly in the app
Better NDA Management:
All NDA connections now appear in both the Integrations section and the NDA section of Settings
Each NDA can be toggled on or off for use in the access request flow
New status indicators show the state of each NDA:
Connected - Not enabled as an option: Encourages customers to enable NDAs they’ve connected but not activated.
Connected - Not set as default: Indicates NDAs that are enabled but not set as the default.Connected – Using as default: Indicates that NDA option is currently set as the default.
Salesforce Bypass Enhancements
The NDA Bypass section for Salesforce now supports field selection via dropdown menus instead of manual entry
