Overview
Setting up a Trust Center can be time-consuming, especially when organizations have a large number of items that need descriptions before it can be published.
Using content that has already been added, the AI-Assisted Trust Center Setup feature will generate draft content for the entire Trust Center in one guided workflow.
Instead of writing descriptions one item at a time, users can select all the items that need populated, configure how the AI should write, content, and review AI-drafted descriptions before they go live.
Users stay in the editor's seat; the AI does the writing.
Note: Users with the role of Admin or Trust Center Editor can use this feature.
Prerequisites
For best results, make sure the following has been uploaded to the Trust Center before starting:
Documents and reports: SOC 2, pen tests, audit reports, or any other trust artifacts the AI can reference
Policies: policies summarized as public-facing descriptions on the Trust Center
Certifications: any compliance frameworks or certifications
Knowledge Base (FAQ) Entires: any question-and-answer pairs the AI can use as additional context
Note: The AI uses only the content that has been uploaded. The more relevant content that is provided, the more accurate and specific the generated descriptions will be.
Generating Trust Center Content with AI
Step 1: Launch AI Content Generation
Navigate to the Trust Center Editor.
If the Trust Center has an unpublished product, a banner will appear with a prompt have AI draft the Trust Center content.
Select Generate Draft in the banner to get started.
A checklist will appear asking to confirm all relavent content has been added.
If certain content is yet to be uploaded, a link will be provided that navigates directly to the Documents and Knowledge Base sections.
Once confirmed, click Next to proceed.
Step 2: Choose How to Proceed
Users will be presented with two options:
Review Step-by-Step (recommended)
Walk through the full workflow
Select which items to generate
Configure writing style
Review each AI-generated draft before it's added to the Trust Center.
Update Automatically
Use defaults and skip the configuration steps.
The AI uses pre-configured default settings and immediately populates the Trust Center with generated content, which is then visible directly in the Trust Center editor.
Note: If the the auto generate option is selected, content can be reviewed in the Editor before it is published.
Step 3: Select Items to Generate
A list of items pre-selected by the AI will be created. These are the Trust Center items the system recommends generating content for.
Review the pre-selected items and adjust as needed.
Deselect to exclude from the AI draft, or select all to include everything.
Once reviewed, click Next.
Step 4: Configure Writing Style
Before the AI generates content, configure how it should write. These settings apply to all items generated.
Writing Perspective: Choose how to refer to the organization or product
We / Our: Tirst-person plural (e.g., "We encrypt all customer data...")
Organization name: Third-person using the organization's name
Product name: Reference a specific product directly, useful for multi-prod Trust Centers
Custom: Enter a customer phrase to use
Verbosity Choose how much detail in each generated description
Standard: A balanced paragraph, the default
Detailed: A longer, more thorough summary
Brief: Two to three sentences covering only the essential point
Tone Choose the voice that matches the organization's brand
Conversational: Warm and approachable
Business Casual: Friendly and efficient
Professional: Formal and structured
Additional Styling Instructions: (optional) Add custom instructions to further tailor how the AI writes. e.g
Specify regional dialect preferences
Set formatting rules (e.g., "don't use hyphens")
Define terminology the organization uses consistently
Note: Use the Test option to preview a sample output before committing to the settings. The test generates examples for a few items so users can see what the results will look like and adjust before committing.
Once the writing style is configured, click Generate Suggestions and we begin drafting content for all selected items.
Step 5: Wait for Generation to Complete
After clicking Generate Suggestions, items being drafted will show a visual highlight, and a progress indicator at the top of the screen updates in real time.
Generation can take a while depending on how many items were selected.
Users do not need to stay on the page. The Trust Center can be closed and returned to at any time, the work will continue in the background.
Review and Approve Drafts
Once generation is complete, an option to Review Suggestions will appear in the banner in the Trust Center editor. Select it to open the review workflow.
Note: If Update Automatically was chosen, skip this step. Content is already visible in the Trust Center editor and does not go through a review workflow.
The review workflow is organized into three sections, navigated via tabs at the top
Tab 1: Compliance Badges
The AI recommends which compliance certifications and badges to be featured on the Trust Center, based on the documents it found
Review the badge and the source document used to identify it
Click Approve to add it, or skip to exclude
Optional: attach additional supporting documents before approving
Tab 2: Item Descriptions
This tab shows all items the AI was able to find content for, organized by category. Items the AI could not find sufficient content for are listed separately at the bottom of this section.
Read the AI-generated draft
Edit the content inline if needed
Optional: attach documents. Source documents are sorted by relevance to help
Approve items to add to the Trust Center by selecting the Approve checkbox
Optional: Select Approve All to approve all draft items.
When ready, add approved items to the Trust Center editor by selecting Add Approved Items to Trust Center in the top right.
Tab 3: Overview
The AI can draft an overview section for the Trust Center based on available documentation.
Review the draft, edit as needed, and approve it to include it.
Additional review options
Close and Continue Later: Closes the review modal and returns users to the Trust Center editor. Drafts and progress are saved. Return at any time to resume.
Restart: If the results don't meet expectations, use this option to restart the generation process from the beginning.
Preview: A preview link is available throughout the review workflow so users can see how approved content looks on the live Trust Center, without waiting until everything is done.
Complete the Review
When done adding, select Done Adding. This finalizes the review and shows a summary of the current state of draft items.
The summary displays three states for all items:
Added: Approved and successfully added to the Trust Center
Approved, not added: Approved during review but not yet added to the Trust Center. Use the inline Add Here action to add these without re-opening the full review.
Not approved: Items that were generated but not approved during review
Once the summary is reviewed, select Done - discard remaining.
Confirm Done in the prompt that opens. This completes the review and closes the modal.
Note: Once Done - discard remaining, is selected, the setup banner is removed and the AI Trust Center Setup workflow cannot be re-run. Use the single-item AI generation feature in the Trust Center editor for any future individual updates.
After finishing, users can preview the Trust Center and make any layout adjustments before publishing. See Trust Center Item & Trust Center Layout Customization for details on reordering sections, cards, and items.
Relationship to Other AI Features
AI Trust Center Setup is designed for initial bulk content generation when setting up or refreshing the Trust Center. It complements other AI features
Single-item AI Generation: Generating or regenerating a description for one item at a time from within the Trust Center editor
AI Questionnaire Assistance (AIQA): Auto-drafting responses to security questionnaires sent by customers or prospects
Note: Writing style options in AI Trust Center Setup and AIQA are configured independently. See AIQA Answer Customization for details on configuring AIQA presets.
FAQs
What documents does the AI use to generate content?
The AI uses the documents, policies, certifications, and knowledge base entries you've uploaded to your account. It also pulls from any content synced from Drata GRC. It does not pull from external sources or make inferences beyond what is documented.
Will the AI automatically link my documents to Trust Center items?
Document linking is optional and happens during your review in the Item Descriptions tab. Source documents are surfaced by relevance to make it easy to select the right one. For compliance badges, the AI references the source document it used to make the recommendation, and you can attach additional documents before approving.
What happens if the AI can't find enough information for an item?
Items the AI could not find sufficient content for are listed at the bottom of the Item Descriptions tab in the review workflow. They are not added to your Trust Center. You can add more relevant documentation and use single-item AI generation to populate those items individually.
Can I pause the review and come back to it?
Yes. Use Close and Continue Later at any point in the review workflow. Your drafts and progress are saved, and you can return to the review from your Trust Center editor at any time.
Can I re-run the AI Trust Center Setup after completing it?
No. Once you select Done - discard remaining, the setup banner is removed and the workflow cannot be re-run. For future content updates, use the single-item AI generation feature available directly in the Trust Center editor.
Can I use Update Automatically with custom writing style settings?
No. Update Automatically uses pre-configured default settings. Writing style customization (verbosity, tone, perspective, and additional instructions) is only available when using the Step-by-Step Guide path.
Does this replace the single-item AI generation feature?
No. Single-item generation remains available for making targeted updates to individual items after your Trust Center is set up. AI Trust Center Setup is a one-time bulk setup tool, not a replacement for ongoing content management.
