Overview

Trust Center Updates (TCUs) are used to proactively announce new compliance documentation, updates to subprocessors, share vulnerability impact information, and incident response notes with customers and prospects. Updates can be published on the Trust Center, sent via email, or both.

Key Takeaways:

  • Notifications are solely triggered by published Trust Center Updates.

  • Adding, updating, or replacing documents alone, or modifying Trust Center Editor content, will not generate notifications.

Publishing a New Trust Center Update

Step 1: Create a new topic

To access Trust Center Updates, click on the Trust Center Updates module on the left menu. To create a new update, select Create new topic.

Step 2: Create a title and category

Enter the title of the update under "Topic" and select the "Category", then click Create. Important updates can also be pinned to the top of the TCU section.

Step 3: Add content

Click on Create the first update and type your Trust Center Update in the Content text box.

Note: The Content box supports Markdown and links.

Step 4: Determine audience

Updates can be published in one or both ways:

  1. Trust Center

    1. Public: can be viewed by anyone who visits the public Trust Center

    2. Private: can be viewed only by users who are granted access to the private contents of the Trust Center

  2. Email:

    1. "Subscriber" list - list of users who have subscribed to TCU from the Trust Center

    2. Import a list of emails in a .csv file. This is useful if the updates should go to a custom audience who may not be existing TCU subscribers. Confirm permission to email these users is recommended.

Note: An email preview can be sent prior to publishing.

Step 5: Publish TCU

To publish the TCU, select Review and then Publish.

Note: Enterprise Plan customers may choose to have these emails sent from a customized email domain.

Grouping Trust Center Updates

TCU can be grouped by topic so that customers/prospects can easily reference updates to earlier posts. To add a new update to a topic, select Add an update to this topic and follow the same steps as above to publish the update.

Public View of Trust Center Updates

Users will be greeted with a banner at the top of the Trust Center when new updates are published.

The update is also visible in the TCU section of the Trust Center if this option was selected.
