You can add watermarking to your PDF files to better protect confidential information and to indicate the validity of your legal documents. You can do this within SafeBase in three easy steps.

  1. Click on Settings from the left menu and scroll down to the Accounts section

  2. Toggle on Watermark PDF files (BETA)

  3. Click Save

Now every downloaded PDF file from your prospects and customers will be stamped with watermarking.

Note: Only PDF files are supported. Password-protected PDF files are NOT supported.

What your Prospects and Customers See

Once they download a PDF file from your Security Trust Center, they will see the watermark with your company name, their email, time and date. You can see an example below:

If your PDF has hyperlinks, you may run into issues post-watermark where the links are no longer clickable. This may be due to how the PDF was generated. Try opening the PDF and saving another copy in something such as Preview in macOS or Adobe Reader on Windows. This should resolve the issue.
