Overview

If the decision is made and a rebrand of a Trust Center is neccessary, the changes are a pretty easy lift. This is essentially an expedited version of the same process used during the initial setup.

Please reach out via the support chat, or for Advanced and Enterprise Customers, a CSM, to get this process started.

Rebranding Tasks

New Trust Center Name

  • Renaming the Trust Center from "Old Company" to "New Company" is accomplished by the SafeBase team.

Update Trust Center Branding

  • Logo and branding updates are self-serve, following this guide

Change the Trust Center domain

  • Changing the Trust Center domain form oldcompany.com to newcompany.com is accomplished by the support team

Note: Let support know if it is a requirement to keep a legacy domain attached to to Trust Center so that users with the olddomain.com emails can still log in until they get switched over.

Update SAML SSO

  • If currently using SAML/SSO, support will need to go through that process again to match the new domain, use this guide as a reminder

  • The connection-id will be updated to newcompany-saml

  • Support will need a new metadata.xml and/or x509 cert + SSO url

Updating the Custom URL

  • Follow this guide and pre-stage the Custom URL CNAME

  • Reach out to support and request an update the Custom URL

  • Make sure to include what the new custom URL will be

  • Once the new CustomURL is validated on our backend, we will swap it out for the new one.

  • After confirming that the new Custom URL is working, feel free to delete the old CNAME from DNS

Branded Email/Sender Signatures

  • Once the new Custom URL is in place this process can be gin.

  • While this is a completely self serve process, our team will be required to wipe the old configuration.

  • Once that happens, follow this guide to set up the new email branding/sender signatures

  • After the branding changes have been successfully confirmed, the old DKIM/CNAME DNS values can be deleted.
