Overview
Setting up a Trust Center from scratch can be a daunting task. Between drafting dozens of descriptions and hunting for the right supporting evidence, it is easy for the high level and granular descriptions of content to get lost in translation.
To help organizations move from a "blank slate" to a published Trust Center faster, SafeBase now offers AI-powered description generation. This feature leverages the existing documentation in the Trust Library (i.e. uploaded documents and content in the knowledge base) to draft professional, externally-facing descriptions and suggest relevant documents to link, with a few simple clicks
Using AI generation especially during initial onboarding will slash setup time.
Instead of authoring from scratch. Organizations can shift to a "review and approve" workflow, getting a Trust Center live in days rather than weeks.
Prerequisites
Before using this tool, users must ensure the following:
GenAI Enabled: An admin must enable GenAI feature in organization settings. If it’s disabled, a prompt will be displayed to activate it.
Populate the Trust Library: The AI will draft content based the Trust Center's knowledge base entries and uploaded documents. The more content in the Trust Library, the higher the quality of the generated suggestions.
Permissions: Users must have "Edit" permissions for the Trust Center to use this feature.
How to Generate a Trust Item Description
Navigate to the Editor: Open the Trust Center Editor and select an item
Generate Suggestion: Look for the "Generate suggestion" button (identified by the AI icon) next to the description field.
Review the Suggestion: A window will appear showing the AI-generated text.
Link Recommended Documents: The AI will also suggest 3-5 documents from the Trust library that support the description. Click the link icon next to a document to add it to the item.
Accept and Save: Click Set as description to pull the text into the editor.
Note: The changes are not live until the Save button on the item is clicked.
Key Features & Considerations
Multi-Product Context
If an organization manages multiple products, the AI is product-aware.
It will only draw from the Trust Library content associated with the specific product that is being edited. This ensures no cross-contamination of security details between different offerings.
Content that is marked as “Global” in SafeBase will also be used.
Renamed Trust Items
If organizations have significantly renamed an out-of-the-box Trust Item, users will see a warning. If the new name drastically changes the meaning of the item, the AI might still generate content based on the original intent of that item.
We recommend reviewing these suggestions closely.
Note: For Custom Items, AI generation is supported for "out-of-the-box" Trust Center Items. Support for custom items is planned for a future update.
Troubleshooting
"Insufficient Information" Message: This occurs when the AI cannot find enough relevant data in the Trust Library to draft an accurate description.
To fix this, upload more internal policies, documents, or KB entries related to that control.Button is Grayed Out: Ensure that the "GenAI" setting is toggled on in the organization's global settings. If the user is an editor but not an admin, they must reach out to a admin to have it enabled for the organization.
