Overview

SafeBase now provides the option to embed inline videos directly on your Trust Center.

At this time, the video link must be a youtube.com, youtu.be, or vimeo.com link or else it will not render.

How to embed video(s) in the Trust Center

Navigate to your Trust Center Editor and select a section where you would like to embed the video. Videos can be embedded in the overview or within the items on an individual card.

The video must be placed in a trust center field that supports Markdown text, e.g., a description within a card, the Overview section, a Trust Center Update item, etc. These fields will have a small gray ribbon under them that says "Styling with Markdown is supported" and a small gray M↓ button to the right of this ribbon.

Select Edit to open up the text field, and use the following markdown syntax to insert a title and link to the video:

![Video Title](video link)

Here is an example within the Trust Center Editor:

Hit Save and take a look!

Troubleshooting

If your video does not render right away or not at all, review the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure your markdown syntax is correct, with no spaces, extra, or missing characters. The syntax must be as follows:

    ![Video Title](video link)

  • You can only use a video published on Youtube or Vimeo. Ensure you are linking a video from one of these platforms.

  • Make sure the video is enabled for embedding. You can typically check this in the sharing section, or in the settings of the video if you have access.
